Breaking all the rules today and wearing white after Labor Day. Who made that rule up anyway? So silly! I'm loving how the ripped denim can take a more conservative top and shake it up a bit. Making the outfit more edgy and relevant. I love having a pair like these to throw on and take my game up a bit versus just the normal, expected pair of jeans. Do you have a pair of go-to ripped denim yet?
We had such a great weekend. It is rare when we have just nothing to do and plan the days minute by minute. I had heard about this cool festival called Farm to Fork held near the state capital in downtown Sacramento. I am a sucker for festivals so I was all about it. There were demonstration booths, beer gardens (yes!), tons of stuff for the kids and live bands. Cool right? Well, it was super hot, but yes very cool! So, my 3-year old daughter LOVES music and any sort of live band. If you know me and my husband, this may not be a surprise. So instead of the face painting, storytime and veggie hunt...she led me to the stage to see Stroke 9. She was in a bit of a mood--I don't blame her she was hungry and hot. But as soon as we sat down in front of the stage her mood calmed (FYI Stroke 9 would not be classified as soothing music--lol). We sat there listening to them sing about the Little Black Backpack and she rested her head on my shoulder, then got this huge smile on her face as they belted out the lyrics. They played a short set and after Grace asked me if we could see the singer. So as he was signing a few autographs on stage she pulled my arm and led us up to the front. She put up her hand and said to the lead singer "Gimme high five man." Well, he did and she was on cloud 9 all day long. Check out the picture below as she is re-telling the eventful high five to my husband. What a crack up! Thanks for reading along...
