Dress (sold out, but similar here, here and here) // Necklace // Booties (love this color too)
It's the holiday's! Time to prepare the turkey, stuffing aaaannd your outfit!! I love a good "cold shoulder" dress. It is so versatile and says I'm dressed up but on trend too. The off the shoulder and cold shoulder tops and dresses have made their way into the cooler months and I am soooo happy for it! Pair with booties, tights or over the knee boots and you are set! I also find that sometimes I dress overly warm and then find myself working or chatting in the kitchen (doesn't everyone?) and I get so hot! The cold shoulder spicy number you are wearing should keep you at just the right temp!
What does your family do for Thanksgiving? Do you always have the same tradition? We usually spend this day with my husband's side of the family. Sometimes we host and some times we travel. This year we are travelling to my father in law's (just up the way) and also cooking! My husband is suuuuper into cooking the turkey. Like really into it...he has deep conversations with the meat department about how to strategically cook the best tasting bird. Believe me I am not complaining or making fun--he cooks a mean turkey! I cook the mashed potatoes, stuffing and cranberries! Here's two tips we learned...1. Basting the turkey is a waste of time and also messy (cue the bag breaking just when you finished like it did for us two years ago--argh!) 2. Turn the whole bird upside down so the breast is on bottom. Makes for a wayyy juicer taste! Hope whatever your plans are they are festive and fun!! And of course I am going to remind you that you still can move your body that morning! Make it fun--go on a nature hike, see what classes are offered if you are member of a health club or studio, I also have quick workouts here make it a family affair and get everyone moving!!
Thanks for reading! Happy Turkey Day!!
